Now it’s a week since I came to California in America. I am an exchange student and I am going to be in America, to follow one year in High School. After a very long trip with plane, I arrived to the family I should stay at. It’s a typical American family, the father is a lawyer, and the mother is a housewife. They got two boys, they are twins, and their names are Harry and Larry. The twins go in the same High school as me, but not in the same class.
It’s a big school; there are a lot of students. In the school there is also many others exchange students, in my class there is another exchange student, a girl from Spain. My teacher Mrs. Apple, told me to write about, how I find school life in America different from school life in Denmark.
After the first week I began to get some impression of the schools in America, and I think I know all the rules in the school now.
Every day all the students eat together at the same time in the lunch Hall, it’s like a cafeteria, and there are different menu’s every day, today’s lunch is Cheeseburger with fries or Chicken nuggets with vegetables. It’s much cheaper than in Denmark. In Denmark, we usually bring our own food with us, but we can also buy something to eat at the school kitchen. We can buy Pizza, Sandwich, salad and fruit. When we eat, we are sitting in the class or on the stairways.
