How would you describe Danes and Danish culture to a foreigner?
I get the impression, that we Danes are very busy and shy people in the beginning. But if you got to know us, we could be very open minded and funny. A Dane got the typical Skandinavian look. We are not that different. I think were are a bit to arrogant, because we don’t have that much time. But I love being a Dane, because I couldn’t imagine living in fx. Turkey, because I have heard about Turkish families planned wedding for their kids. But there are also a bad side of Danes, fx. We are drinking a lot. About 12 liters clean alcohol annually, and I think that is too much!
And in Denmark we got democracy, but I really don’t know much about that.
Which " secrets" of our culture would be useful for a foreigner to know?
I wouldn’t call it secrets, but just some bad habbits.
1. Like we’re drinking a lot.
2. We are maybe a bit to shy.
3. There are a lot of drugs among the teenagers.
4. I think that there are too many “childrens” who is smoking.
I don’t think there are any more “secrets” or bad habbits.
