Joy and Peter met each other at a festival they both used to participate in. She fell in love with him the first time she saw him and that love only grew stronger as time went on. He gave her roses, presents and compliments and like that he won her heart over. One evening he took her out to dinner where he asked her to marry him. Love had made her blind so she had no other option but to say yes and she got a huge, sparkling diamond ring on her finger. They got married – a small, private ceremony where only their closest friends and family were present and the honeymoon took place on the long sand beaches in Hawaii. The first 3 years went on flawless and filled with still growing love. That growing love stopped suddenly when she in their 4th year of marriage got pregnant. From her point of view it was the best thing that could happen but when she with Christmas lights in her eyes told him the good news he blew up. It changed him into a completely different, violent and angry man. Joy ended up at the emergency room with a cut in the back of her head and a soar chest because when he could not control his temper he threw a lamp towards her and hit her in the back of her head. As if that was not enough he got closer and closer and ended up kicking her below her chest aiming for her stomach but the managed to get so low that he hit her in the chest instead. The baby had not taken any damage so her stomach just grew bigger and bigger. Peter was still being violent even after Joy had given birth to their baby daughter so she decided to leave him. He did not take it very well at all and she ended up – again – in the emergency room. She found her own apartment and Joy and her baby moved in a few days later.
