The man who rocks the cradle is an article about British men that takes as much responsibility as their wife’s in parenting their kids, the article presents us to Simon and Elos, and they both have a two-year-old. But even though fathers have the access to more flexible or part-time jobs, it does not seem to have an effect on the society. For over almost 30 years there has been little change in society, the overall result is that only a little third of the British men have started to spend more time whit their kids. In the article we hear from Alexandra Jones of the Work Foundation and she said “we hear about investment banks where they offer flexible working to `weed out the losers´” and i thin that whoever thinks like that do not have kids, no father or mother would ever think that just because you have a part time job, to see your kid more, then you are a loser. I have tried babysitting and have a lot of respect for parents, in the article it also said that Brittan is the third best country whit fathers spending substantial time whit their kids, where as Denmark did the best by far. The article talks about many things but the most impotent thing in this tekst is the questions that shows if you read between the lines, do men spend enough time whit their kids or do they feel the pressure of work?
