English Summary - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde The story is about a lawyer from London, named Mr. Utterson and, at the beginning of the novelle, he is worried for his friend, Dr. Henry Jekyll, who is a violent man who is living in Jekyll's house. Although Utterson's attempts to speak to his friend, Jekyll is completely trying to avoid the subject. In the later part of the novel, Jekyll locks himself in his laboratory. Utterson is afraid for his friend, so he breaks down the door to save him. When he is entering the laboratory, he finds Mr. Hyde, killed by his own hand. A letter made from the hand of Dr. Jekyll, explains that the doctor had created a potion that divided the two sides of a man's character, the good and the bad, and that allows a man to transform between the two. Mr. Hyde was the definition of Jekyll's evil side. At first Jekyll found the transformation reliveing, because he was able to live out a life of happiness and without any danger. Although, he soon found out that Hyde was taking over. Jekyll was not able to control the transformation, and he was certain that he would become Hyde forever, so he killed himself. That's the end of the strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
