The short story is about a woman, giving everything up to follow her dreams.

It all begins at her thirtieth birthday, were she founds out; that she really wants to follow her dreams as a busker, and she gives up her post as assistant administrator of a hospital. That decision brings a lot of changes to her family.

The family is used to afford holidays two times a year, private schools, two cars, and the alteration of the great regular income, causes a radical change.

At the start the family thrives in a “real” family, consisting of more quality time together, and they accept their new life. As the weeks are passing by, their financial circumstances go from bad to worse. The mother and the father are forced to quit a lot of things; they are selling many of their personal possessions just to afford the family, and still to satisfy their children.

The dream of the mother went wrong, and to save her family she asks for her job back, and her old unexciting life continues. Only with one change in her life; her husband starts with tap dancing lessons.

On the surfaces the thirty years old narrator Jenny, is a person with everything: A perfect family, with a business husband, two children in private schools and a great successful job. But she is not living her own dream, because her dream is to become a busker. The life she is living is only for the good of her family.
