Young amish: The amish people was created by a little group of christian people in Europe in 1693. They were against baptized. They believe that only one grown up can choose a god and baptism. The europeans followed the amish people, and in the end the amish people had to leave the country, and travel to USA in 1860. Today there are over 120000 amish people in 23 states. Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana is the states there are most amish people. They believe that god is number one and after him is their parents. The amish people does not have any electricity or other modern stuff. They stay away from everything modern. They think they can live a better and more simple life without it. The amish people religion is build upon Johannes first letter verse 15. "Don't love the world or the stuff that are in the world". The amish people wants to be the chosen ones. The ones who is different from the others. They don't believe that you should be surrounded with the world and life shouldn't be easy. They believe that horse wagon is the most simple and slow way to live. When you get married they let their beard grow instead of wearing a ring. The amish people have a tradition that when you turn 16 years old, you allowed to make your own decisions to believe in god or not. When you turn 16 years old you can begin to date, and meet girls. They begin to wear normal clothes, go to the movies, parties etc. They do that until they are 20 years old. Then they got to decide if they want to be a part of the amish church or not. If they choose to do that, they got to follow that the rest of their lives. The adults call it: Rumspringer. Most of the young kids live home in that period. The young kids have a hard time choosing sides because on one hand is their parents and the other is their freedom. Many who become a part of the amish people and then quit become expelled. And their family won't talk to them.
