If I lived in America

If I lived in America, my whole life would be different. There is a huge difference between living in tiny Denmark, and for example giant dominating America. I do not know if I could ever imagine not living in an intimate country like Denmark. I am not sure that I could get used to the fact that the easiest way to get from a state to another is by flying with an airplane. That is a thing that I would find very annoying, but at the same time is it pretty fascinating. I like my life in this small scandinavian country. I often wonder why people want to live in a gigantic country like the United States. I know that many people think that USA is the country of opportunities, and maybe it is. I would personally never consider living in the United States. I think that Denmark is a lovely country, and I know that we have a strong and simple community. I think it is a pity they do not pay taxes in America, I do not know how bad the poorness and homelessness would be in our country, if we did not pay “our” taxes. I guess that everybody have seen or at least heard something about America, since it is a great world power. A lot of the things we use in Denmark are original from USA. For example: McDonald’s Fast-food restaurant. This is not only a popular thing in Denmark, but also in the rest of the world. Also a lot of expensive-quality clothes as well as cheap streetwear are brands which are designed by American designers. Many trends are started in America. The most of the world-known actors and actresses have American roods. It is possibly because a big part of the movies we watch are made in USA. Also the music we listen to, are often written by American artists, and produced by American producers. You can say that the United States has a big influence on the rest of the world, no doubt about that. Some American-copied things are brilliant, but there are definitely also some things that are not so brilliant. Things we wish not to know about. Such things as Happy-Slapping are very tragic and it is sadly a thing that we have from America. The media shows us these things, and it is something that some youngsters find exiting, dangerous and interesting. I think it is disgusting that young people feels a need to experience these “games”.
