Many people yearn for a good life. A life where they can provide for their family by having a well-paying job and good working conditions. It depends on many factors, that includes a good regime, government and leading from the authorities. Donald Trump is a president that has introduced to a new policy that puts “America first” as his priority, which means strengthen the American economy, by making the American business more competitive and make a favorable trade traffics for the American companies. All these regulations sound as a perfect regulation, but it has its consequences for the general population.
Trump has introduced to a new policy that has regulated the tax on imports “, which implies protecting and giving a few industries some benefits by putting tariffs on Chinese imports will generate much more consequences for the consumers with a limited income as this qoute describes “President Donald Trump justifies tariffs on imports by arguing that “unfair trade policies” have harmed American workers” (p.1, ll.5-6). These regulations will affect the workers and costumers’ economy negatively because they will have to pay more for the bacis necessary products as this quote shows us “But, for those with more limited incomes, who are especially vulnerable to tariff increases, price hikes can quickly gobble up 65 take-home pay” (p.3, ll.3-5). After Trump implied his plan of establishing trade obstacles on Chinese products, it has led to an indirect war between China and America on each other’s products. These disputes between the two superpowers turns out putting many workers jobs in risk and putting their economic status in imbalance. Trump’s purpose of tariffs was to increase Americas budget and economy by forcing the companies to buy their materials inside the country so that the money that has been spend on the materials increases the country´s budget. But that means that the companions must pay a higher price to buy the goods that usually rely on imported products so that they sold and produce products to the market. It has especially hit foreign import of steel and aluminum that became more expensive after Trump has put high taxes on the materials. Overall, it has affected the limited-income families extremely hard as the quote shows “Basic necessities such as food and clothing make up a larger share of working-class household expenditures when compared to higher-income families” (p.3, ll.66-67).
