Thousands of years ago music was what brought stone age tribes together. It was the only way of communication they had, without it we were probably never would have evolved into the highly cultural beings that we are today. Music is no longer just a way of communicating, but it has become maybe the most powerful artistic media of all time.
Music has a strong influence on our personalities, but at the same time it reflects it. Musical taste makes it easy for people to categorize you, because nearly everybody is familiar with the kind of personality, which goes with each genre of music. This is both a good and a bad thing, I think, because stereotypes is always a bad thing to do with people. The good thing is small groups with a strange but strong social bond comes forth, these groups will often be quite close friends that share a similar taste in music. I really think that’s good thing, because there is nothing better than sitting, listening to some great music with someone, who likes it as much as you do.
Music has an unexplainable power over the human mind, it has abilities, to create different situations by making the human mind create drug like substances, like adrenaline or morphine, all depending of the kind of music and the persons listening to it. Properly everyone has felt this power, when listening to your favourite track, you feel a state of absolute relaxation, or enagization depending of the kind of music.
