Characterization of Marjorie and Mick:
''It's more than forty years since that trip to the zoo...'' Let's say Marjorie was 10 years old when she was at the zoo. That makes her 50 years old. At the trip to the zoo she gets fascinated by the ants, which is a bit unusual for a child at the age. Marjorie suffers from agoraphobia. She has strong feelings to fish, and has tanks with fish in her apartment. Her apartment is designed like a tank. She see her fishes as human friends. She doesn't really has any friends but the fish. She has a fish called Russ, she talks to him like if he was her boyfriend. One of the reasons she like the fish, is that they're peaceful behind their wall of glass.
She has many kind of fish, there are, angel fish, neon tetras, cat-fish, carp, blind cave fish, eels and Serrusalmus. In her eyes are fish much more beautiful than humans. Her fish is like her children.
Mick is a predator, he hunts Marjorie. He steals money from Marjorie. He sometimes threaten Marjorie, however he has never harmed her, not physically. Mick is violent, aggressive, lonely, weak. His attitude is very tuff and mean. So he isn’t nice to Marjorie. He works in the Social Services. He is supposed to offer unsupervised solace to the old and sick and lonely. But that isn't exactly what he does to Marjorie.
