Rabbit-Proof Fence is based on how the English government treated the Aboriginals. Rabbit-Proof Fence is about 3 girls, Molly, Gracie and Daisy. Their father is from England, and their mother is an Aboriginal, so they are mix-raced aboriginals. At that time, the English government took mixed-raced Aboriginals, to settlements so they could get some “white” culture. They live close to Jigalong Station. The film is in the 1930.
The film starts with the English government takes the 3 daughters, to Moore River Native Settlement, north of Perth. Their mother and grandmother are doing everything they can to stop them, but fails. When the 3 girls arrive to the camp, they are very scared and confused, because they don’t know anybody, and they can’t speak so good English. They don’t know what to do in the morning, but they get a friend, there are guiding them. Molly, the oldest, has found a plan to escape from the Camp. When they are going to empty the bucket with poop, and other things, they are fleeing from the camp. When A.O. Neville a.k.a. Mr. Devil, finds out about it, he sends a tracker to find them. The trackers name is Moodoo; he’s an Aboriginal and is very good at tracking people. Molly knows that the Rabbit-proof fence is going along Jigalong Station, so they are just following the fence.
