Your generation is you father or mother, cause they live together with you in your generation. All generations have rules, this can be from how you behave at dinner to when you can drink alcohol. In my family I can drink in eighth grade, after Christmas, like most other people in my class, although, my mom says that I may not drink a lot, of course it’s because she doesn’t want me to get completely wasted. We have a lot of rules in our household, but I think it’s alright, without rules nothing would work properly. The most common rules in our house, is that we don’t swear at each other, or at least not always, it’s okay to shout something once In a while, but of course our mom will tell us not to when we do it. If I want to go to a party, which my mom won’t let me go to, she usually uses the excuse “Back in days, when I was young we didn’t drink till we were eighteen years old.” I’m starting to get pretty sick and tired of that excuse. Another common rule we have is that we sit still at the table until everyone’s finished eating, this can be kind of frustrating when for example my little brother is really slow at eating, then I usually have to sit there, just staring until he’s finished, which usually takes half an hour, this is why I sometimes get very angry at my brother, he’s just simply annoying. I remember asking my dad one day, from above 2 years ago, how he used to kill time when he was at my age. He told me that he made “Hideouts” and caves at the harbor in the many fish crates that was down there, the only reason I asked was because he told me I couldn’t play anymore playstation, cause I had played it all day, and since I got bored fast when I couldn’t play I just asked him what he would do if he was at my age and he didn’t have anything to do. Well, I guess generations change, in one generation your making your own caves in fish crates, and in the next you lay in your bed all day with a computer or playstation, who knows what will kids will entertain themselves with, when I get to be dad?
