Abstract:
This paper is about the post apartheid society.
The purpose of this paper is to illustrate how the South African society has developed since the segregation, and how the end of apartheid has conducted to equal rights between the different classes.
On the basis of my analysis I used Nadine Gordimer’s novel “Get a life”, to point out the different problems that appears in the society of South Africa.
On the foundation of my analysis I concluded that Nadine Gordimer plays a certain role in the development of the post apartheid society. She is considered as the spokesman of the entire country, as she uses her literary works to tell the world about the frustrations South African people live with.These dilemmas contain HIV/AIDS, nuclear facilities, extinction of endemic species and regions, and the enormous poverty which causes inequality between blacks and whites.
