Why gangs? Reasons for joining gangs in the USA

The main problem in USA is the gangs. The young people in the school spilt up in groups and so-called gangs. And why join the young people gangs? That is a very big question. I can only speak from myself. I would say that young people have their own reason to join the gangs. They can come in a bad environment with their friends. If their friends are in a gang can that have an influence on you. “Everyone´s worst nightmare is to fall off the socially acceptable branch”. It is like a hierarchy. In the schools are there a hierarchy. On USA´s schools are there two groups “The Trenchcoat Mafia” and “The Jocks”. The Trenchcoat Mafia are not like other. The thing is that those one are the one who break the rules. It´s can be the one who fell like they are not good enough to be Jocks. The Jocks are the sportspeople and are the dominate group. There is only space for the good ones. There is not space to be different. And if you are different then you fell off the socially acceptable branch. That was one reason to join gangs.Another reason to join gangs is absentee parents. Parents who didn´t see the warning signs of their children´s marginality. It is the parents who do not supervise their children. The parents have busy with their careers, but also children where they do not have anything to do.When you are grown up in a violence environment it can be if your parents hurt you or does something there hurt you. In the end you maybe find comfort in gangs and join them. And then you believe that respect and power come only from violence.TV, the internet and Pc-games can also have an influence on you.
