This essay delves into the complex causes of hate and violence in society, drawing inspiration from 'Bowling for Columbine'. It examines the impact of media manipulation, the lack of social understanding, and the cycle of blame. The essay argues for the importance of empathy, respect, and self-reflection as pathways to a more peaceful world, where love can be the ultimate solution to hate.

We all have someone or maybe an entire people we don’t like. These people are often the opposite of what we try to be ourselves. I think we all need to turn this lack of understanding, into a tool of becoming less narrow minded. I personal don’t like the thought of killing over religion, but I feel a responsibility to understand them, because if I understand them, I can’t hate them in the same way. I am not better than them, just because they are raised to believe in different things than me. We have to maintain our respect for others, because if we don’t, we start hating.

When young people commit crimes, we all want to blame somebody. The parents, the TV, aggressive music like Marilyn Manson and so on, but who put the child in front of the TV? Who raised the parents and who raised Marilyn Manson? There is no one to blame, because we are all a part of the same fellowship. At least we should be. In my opinion the violence in America, is caused by lack of fellowship. There are too many different people, who are raised in too many ways. Wars are in most cases caused by racism, and so are the smaller wars in America. Black people are raised to be in a certain way, and Latino people in another, so the differences are causing separation and lack of social understanding. So when the children are eating their dinner, and Hassan can’t eat any pork, he is laughed at, because the other children are raised in an other way. They have never been told to stay away from pork, and children often do what they have been told, and not what they think for themselves. All the different lifestyles and religions have through the time formed so many different kinds of people, that America “the land of the free” isn’t a free country for anybody.
