Many arranged marriages are based out of a culture, so participating in an arranged marriage strengthens the newly relationship with people of their cultural community. It drastically improves their image. Notably for Asian communities, that commitment shows people that they have not completely abandoned their culture and become completely westernized. Since an arranged marriage is a difficult commitment to make, the people that do are usually very dedicated and will not renege on their promises. Both parties try their best to make the marriage work, especially with the absence of love. That willingness to cooperate can create a love all by itself, and happiness and satisfaction is common in these marriages. Many women continue to wait for their Prince Charming, searching for a perfect man that might not even exist. That search in itself can lead to tremendous despair, confusion, and bad judgment calls. Happiness and satisfaction only comes to those few women who really do find their ideal man. With arranged marriages, both parties know that the other might not love them.
