Family life in 2078

I wake up to the sound of an annoying bell. It is probably TQ. TQ is our robot waiter. He always uses that annoying bell in the morning. But that means the breakfast is ready. TQ is like a brother for me because I don’t have any brothers or sisters. The state says that you may only get one child because the world is overpopulated.

For some years ago my father died so my family consists of my mother, TQ and my self.

I stand up and draw the curtains back. I look at the thermometer and see that it is 35 degrees outside. I walk out in the kitchen. There is a scent of pancakes in the kitchen. When I turn my head TQ stands with a big plate with delicious pancakes. The pancakes smell fantastic but suddenly my mother comes into the kitchen and spoils it all by saying that I have to hurry up because we have to visit the doctor at 11.00 am.

I have already forgotten that but in my opinion is it not necessary to go to the doctor. The only thing the doctor has to do is to look at the number of my skin cancer because if the number is too high then I have to get some tablets against the sun. I eat my food as fast as I can and take my clothes on. I open the door and look at the sky. It is very hot today and therefore we have to use some special jackets that protect us against the sun because a day like this it can be up to 50 degrees in the afternoon. After we have been to the doctor we go to the supermarket were we buy some milk and meat. We take the bus home because we may not use our cars any more because of the pollution. The whole day is the air condition switch on in our house so it is lovely to come home after a trip.
