I chose the topic Australia because I have had about it in 9 class. I will tell you about koalas, because I think they are a big part of Australia and because it's is a exciting animal.
Koala is a marsupial, koala sleeps about 14.5 hours a day, resting 5 and find food 4.5 hours. Koalas only eat eucalyptus leaves. Koalas are the only mammals that can tolerate the poison from eucalyptus leaves. Koalas don’t drink water, it gets water from eucalyptus leaves. It is not afraid of water, it is a good swimmer.
Koalas are an endangered animal. It is difficult to be a koala in Australia, because there will be felled so many eucalyptus trees where koalas live. It is not only difficult but also dangerous. Koala are coming down to earth when the trees are felled, and then they risk being run over or being chased by the many wild dogs that also live there.
When there is fire in the trees in Australia, kills it almost all koalas in the area. They are so slow that they can not manage to get away from the flames, so instead of fleeing, climbs it up into the tops of the trees, waiting for the fire is over.
