En dag i et amish-liv

Hi my name is [NAVN A], I’m 16, and I want to tell you about a normal day in my Amish life. Amish usually gets out of bed pretty soon, but the time depends on when the sun is rising. After I have changed my clothes and eaten breakfast I will go out to the nearby place, where there is going to be a new barn. Some have already started the work when I get there. But because I’m the young one I will get all the hard work of bringing and lift the heavy stuff. At noon we will have a lunch break. The food is cooked by the elder Amish gals and brought here by the younger ones. After we have eaten we will get back to work. Then we will work until sundown or maybe little later. At sundown we will go home to our families and have dinner. It’s usually the girls and the women who cooks and sets the table. Before we start dinning we will pray a prayer. After eating we will sit by the fireplace and talk and maybe read a book. At night everyone will go to their room and pray a prayer and then sleep.
