Personal Account: The 2010 Haiti Earthquake

I’m stand here in 12 Jan. 2010 there has bin a earthquake in Haiti an on that time I was there was it just a traumatic place. I saw a lot of different people, but must of them are black, the emergency service was helping the people, the people from Haiti was very happy in this moment I took the picture, the victims and there’s family’s was happy because there was a emergency man that had rescued a little boy, I think the people in the picture is very happy, and they feel love for the little boy and each other, I feel joy when I see the picture.

It is hard to think back at the time when I stand there and took the picture, and remember the people I stood with maybe isn’t going to get a new house, it wasn’t fun to stand there, and it hurts my heart when I know that the people have lost a lot of family members .

After I turned off my camera, something unexpected happened, a saw a lot of people running away, I was wondering was happened. I was told by some that a new aftershocks had begun. I was scared to death I didn’t know where to run, people shouted and screamed, there was chaos everywhere, the emergency service said that everyone should evacuated.
