David gale was a teacher on a college in Texas, he was very popular and a respected death penalty opponent for a group called Deathwatch. Unfortunately David finds himself on the death row for murder and rape on his friend Constance. David wants to give the paper an interview and he asks for the reporter Bitsey Bloom. He starts telling her the story about how he had sex with a previous student Berlin. How he loses his job and starts drinking. Berlin accuses him for rape and the judge happens to be that Gale loses his position on Deathwatch and the custody over his son. Bitsey thinks that he is a coldblooded murder, but as David tells her the story, she finds out that Gale is innocent and she want to research the case. She and her mate Zack starts at Constance’s old house, where a Goth woman lives with her boyfriend. They sell tours in the house and shows how “David” should have been treated Constance.
After a visit in the prison Zack and Bitsey go home. They find the door to her room blocked with gaff tape and a video hanging down the roof. The video shows Constance’s naked body on her kitchen floor with her head wrapped into plastic and she’s about to get strangled.
