Nowadays our world has gone through many difficulties when it comes to cultures, religions, skin colours etc. Through several years and many centuries, people have experienced what racism, discrimination and prejudice really is especially Jews and black people. Even today, they still live with fear of how they should adjust in foreign countries they have settled down in.
In American ghettos, you will often see different groups, which are divided in same race. If you feel threaten by them or have just little bit fear, then that creates prejudice because you automatically would judge them as a threat. You would not judge them by knowing them as individuals. You would judge them by their looks, body language and attitude. Prejudice can be created in many ways, for example, it can be created by your self-consciousness by judging people as groups and not individuals, prejudice can come from bad experiences or it can be something you were raised with. In the movie, American history X, you can tell that Danny has prejudice of black people because of his brother’s influence and from the Nazi gangs. Danny’s big brother, Derek, didn’t have any prejudice of black people when his dad was still alive, he actually liked black people and was fascinated by his teacher, Mr. Sweeny, whom is a black man. Derek and Danny’s dad had a bad experience at his work and was $$furious about it and started generalizing all black people, which led to have huge influence on Derek.
