Delprøve 2, section A Question 1 – The letters Text 1 and 2 are both letters written by American soldiers, who both died in a young age during the Vietnam War. Both are writing their parents, assuring them that everything is all right.In the first letter Rod writes to his mother, telling her about his extension in Vietnam. Though being well aware of her concern, he believes that Vietnam is the place he is being needed. And he also explains how he likes the challenge and excitement the war gives him, despite the pain of the loss of his dead
