The movie is about a girl. Her name is Jesminder "Jess" Kaur Bhamra and lives in London. She is 18 years old and she is Sikh, and her father want to her follows the rules. But Jessminder is begun to lay football, but her family doesn't know. Jess loves football and, she loves David Backham very high. She plays football with some friends in the park. There pass a girl. Her name is Juliette "Jules" Paxton. Jules look at Jess and she think, Jess would be good for her football team. Jules talk with Jess about the football team. Jess says yes. But she is afraid of, what her parents say to that. Jess' football coach is a boy, a very nice boy think Jesminder. His name is Joe. Jess falling in love with Joe. But Jess doesn't know that Jules was crazy in Joe too. Jess' parents find out that Jess plays football on a girl football team. They become very angry and very sad, that Jess has gone against the rules. Jess have a big sister, her name is Pinky. Pinky have a boyfriend, they must be married. Pinky will help Jess get the football team to Hamburg in Germany. For it will not have her parents. Pinky drive her to the bus, and Jess just when the bus. The football team wins the game.
