Who becomes Amish - and why?

People who are born into the Amish people.

People who seek God, and really want to commit to the Amish believe.

They stay in the Amish people because of their family and religion.

What is the story behind the Amish people?

Came to America in 1730, lived in Pennsylvania.

Came more and more Amish to America, and lived with the other Amish people in Pennsylvania.

They do not use electricity or other modern things.

They are Christians, to the extreme.

Rumspringa: When they becomes adult they are going out on their own to find out if they want to live like Amish.

They speak Pennsylvania Dutch/German at home, and English in the school.

A bit of history:

The Amish are a Christian religious group which was formed in the year 1693. They are Anabaptists and believe in baptizing adults, not babies. They were persecuted for these beliefs and were forced to different parts of Germany and Switzerland, in search of religious freedom.
