Jesminder got home after football and was very happy. She was in a good mood and bounced in through the door, but then she saw Pinky. She was standing in the door to the living room. Mom and dad were standing by the fireplace and they looked tearful. Teetus mom and dad were also there. Jesminder didn´t knew what was going on at first, but then Teetus mom said that she saw her and an English boy kissing by a bus stop, because of that Pinky’s wedding was cancelled. Jesminder said that she never had kissed an English boy, but she was on a bus stop today with her English friend Juliette. Pinky was very mad at Jesminder and started to scream. Teetus mom and dad went home, and then the mom started to yell at the girls and she was pretty angry. The dad was too. They said that Pinky and Jess were kept in. Pinky started to cry and said that Jesminder constantly played football. Jesminder got sad, and both of the girls went to their rooms. Jesminder was only thinking of that she couldn’t play football anymore. Why wasn’t she an English girl like Jules? Some day passed. An afternoon someone knocked on the door and it was Joe. Jesminder was pretty nervous, because she knew that her mom and dad didn´t like him. Jess invited him into the living room. The atmosphere was cold. Jess made coffee and served it for Joe. Joe tried to talk with the mom and dad. He said, that he didn’t knew that jess’ parents didn’t knew, that Jesminder was playing football. He apologized anyway. Joe said that Jess was a very capable football player and he hoped that she would start playing again. Mom and dad said that it was a bad idea. Joe went out, but before he started his car, he said that the parents don’t always know what is best for their child, after that reply he drove away in his car, but the words was still hanging in the air. Jess was sure. Joe was right.
