In the USA it is not illegal to bear arms, as it is in Europe. Therefore a lot people in the USA choose to have them in their homes for protection. This makes accidents with guns to rise, if you compare USA and Europe you will see a big difference of how many gun accidents there is.
If you see the American gun culture with Danish glasses, you will actually be afraid of it. Danes would not be happy to have the feeling that the guy who stands next to you on the street might can have gun in his pocket, we would be frightened of this insecurity there is in the American gun culture. That is also why so many American citizens bear arms, because of this insecurity. It will also be wrong, both because it would be illegal and we are not use to the fact that normal people that does not have profession, that allows them to have arms or. They could of course change the rules about bearing arms in America, but I think that people would just get them illegally. Because everybody have a gun – and therefore they need one too. If that happens the government will lose the control they have with the guns right now.
