The film is about 5 young people who lives in a town called Estherslope. None of them know each other at the start of the movie but they later become really good friends and start a group together. Richard (aka Dick) starts the group, The Dandy’s, after he gets a gun (Wendy) in a toystore and realizes its power at what it makes him feel. What all members of the group have in common is that they are pacifists and none of them want to work in the mine as everyone else in their town does. Because of that people see them as outsiders and “the losers”. One day the sheriff comes to Richards house/apartment with another guy called Sebastian. Sebastian has been in prison and he asked if Dick could be his guardian. Later they try to take Sebastians grandma out for a walk. She has a fear of leaving her house and hasn’t left it for years so it didn’t end up that well. She ends up pulling a gun from her purse and shooting a police officer. They then flee to somewhere in the mine where the police can’t find them. Later they agree with the police to meet up in town and hand over the grandma to the sheriff. Dick and Sebastian then realize that it is an ambush and they run away again. The police send all forces out to look for them but without any luck. The movie ends up with a gunfight in town and all members of The Dandy’s, including Clarabelle, the grandma, die. Everyone get shot by the police except Richard. Sebastian shoots him with Wendy, the only gun he would be honoured to get shot by if he ever would get shot.
