Martin Luther King was born in Atlanta, Georgia at the 15th January 1929. He was son of Michael Luther King Sr. who was a priest and Alberta Williams King. He's originally name was Michael Luther King Jr. But when he and his parents moved to Germany his father changed their first name to Martin. In 1948 Martin Luther King graduated from Morehouse College. He also got a PH.D from Boston university in 1955. He married a woman named Coretta Scott on June 18th in 1953. They had 4 kids together. 2 boys and 2 girls. They named them Yolanda Denise, Martin Luther III, Deter Scott and Bernice Albertine. He became a priest just like his father. It's was a family thing. He made group to fight for the human rights he named it the civil rights movement. He also led the named Montgomery Bus Boycott. The reason why this boycott was made was that back then when a black was siting in a seat in a bus and a white person said that they wanted to sit there they had to move or els they would end up in prison. Martin Luther King gave a lot of speeches. But the most famous of all of them is I have a dream. He did that speech in 1963 March in Washington. At first he wanted to make a short speech about how unfair the black people got treated. But then a singer named Mahalia Jackson yelled to him: "Tell them about your dream Martin!". After that he just told them all about his dream. So in the first place that whole speech wasn't the meaning and if Mahalia hadn't yelled to him then his famous speech wouldn't exist. When he gave that speech there wasn't only a lot of black people there was a lot of white people too and that speech opened a lot peoples eyes. Martin Luther King really have changed white peoples sight at blacks. He inspired a lot people to stand up for their rights. He made a difference to not only America but to the whole world. Today there is still a lot of people who listen to his speech. Without him I don't I think that there would have been so many people that would stand up for them self and fight for their rights and what they believe in.
