I am a girl from Denmark. A couple of weeks ago I saw the movie Bowling for Columbine. I hope, that you have seen it or just have heard about the shooting on Columbine High. It’s about two boys from the school that shoot 12 students and one teacher on a normal school day. I keep asking myself, about how it could happen? Why would two boys on my age kill so many people, and then kill themselves? The movie did it very clear, that there were something wrong. A student explained, that some teachers said, that if you didn’t passed the exam, then you can’t get a good job, then you don’t earn money and then you don’t get a good life. Another thing that shocked me was, when I saw, the instructor Michael Moore went to a shop and bought all the bullits from the same company, that the two boys from Columbine have used. He didn’t show any ID. I think that it is crazy. Mayby that is why there be so many shootings in the USA. Most people in USA have guns. I have some family in USA, and they have a gun too. My family said, that all they know have a gun. That shows how normal, it is. When the director in the movie asked people, about why they have guns, then they aswered it with, ’I feel safe’ or stuff like that. I keep asking myself, how they feel safe with a gun in their house. In Denmark most people don’t own a gun. It is only, people that hunts and the police that have guns legally.
