The Shining Mountain, plot summary

The shining Mountain is a story about a father who wants the daughter to be a strong and tough, as he is. The father doesn’t want the daughter, to be as other ordinary girls in Scotland. He wants her to be different. The girl is afraid to disappoint her father. She doesn’t want to tell him that she is afraid, because she is tired and weak, when she’s at the shining mountain. On the way up to the shining mountain, the girl meet the mountain-goddess, the mountain-goddess took some body parts from the girl, and then the girl flew up to the mountains top. The mountain-goddess meets the father, and tells him that his daughter is the mountain-goddess daughter now, and tells him that she is a swan now. The father begins to cry, and though that she never would come back again. The father ran to jump off the edge of the mountain, but the goddess stopped him. The mountain-goddess, can see that the father didn’t fall so well, for what he did, so the mountain-goddess made his daughter alive again. After that the girl knew that her father never will be disappointed again.
