Everybody was surprised when the young factory worker, Bobby Fellman, and his wife Alice, got a divorce. Especially Alice’s girlfriends were astonished. They thought Bobby was the perfect husband, who adored Alice and their two baby twins, Angus and John. Bobby worked on the nightshift, and when he got home from the factory, he only slept 5 to 6 hours to get more time to work, on the domestic front. He cleaned the house, cooked dinner and did all the grocery shopping. He also washed and ironed his and Alice’s clothes. In between he changed the twin’s diapers, fed the cat and painted the windows. The result naturally became that poor Alice had nothing to do.
“In the start I thought it was wonderful having such a caring husband, but gradually it got too much” Alice explains. “He gave me a huge inferiority complex, and I just had to leave him.”
