A friendship in my eyes is a special relationship to another person. Not like a "couple relationship", but almost like having a relationship to yourself. You see, in my eyes a friend is someone you can see yourself in. Not like a mirror, but more like little pieces of you in the other person. We can't have friends we don't have anything in commend with (like our humor or interests etc.)
For allot of people a friendship is a shallow thing. They use it to get contact to other people, who they also would get a "friendship" with, or they use it to get a higher social status. Believe it or not, but not many children and youngsters have a true friend, who they really rely on.
In my opinion a friendship to your friends is like a family you DO choose.

My best friend is [NAVN A]. She goes in my class, and I have known her as long as I remember. We went in the same kindergarten, but we weren't that close back then. Our friendship really kicked in, on our first day of school.
I THINK it started with me having a rough start in school. I was very shy and didn't talk too much. Suddenly there she was. My knight in shiny army! She sat next to me, and we started talking.
