As you know I went to South Africa this summer, because I wanted to travel through the whole country, see the cities and the nature. It all started in Cape Town, which I came to for four days ago with the air plane. I ordered a room in a hotel as fast as I could. It was a two stars hotel, since I did'nt want to use all my money on service, and I was pretty sure I would'nt spend much time at the hotel, because I came to experience the country. The first attraction I went to see was the city Soweto, I was pretty exited but I was also prepared for the worst, because I heard it is a very poor place. And some people don't have the nerves to see things like that, but I was knew I could handle the pressure. We arrived early on a Monday morning. We walked through some areas of the city, with a tour guide. I took a lot of pictures which you will see when I get home.

The was really exited about the next day, I was going to see the rain forest and some of the savannah. We had three tour guides with us, and we were sixth tourists. It could be dangerous with all the animals. We drove in a mini-bus with big wheels, we started in the savannah, it was almost like a dessert just with trees and bushes, it was really hot, I thought their were 40 degrees. Just after ten minutes we saw an African elephant, it was huge. But the guides said we could'nt get close, because they could be dangerous. We drove next to a river, I saw a few alligator in it, but also a hippopotamus, I heard that hippos is one of the most dangerous animals on earth, but it was hard to understand, in cartoons hippos always were so nice. We drove in two hours, and we arrived to the rain forest. The guides said we had to be very carefully, because in the rain forest there is many venomous animals, like those tiny coloured frogs, so we stayed close to them. We went for a break at a waterfall, it was very beautiful. We walked for three hours, so people started to get tired, since we could'nt drive inside the forest because of all the trees and big bushes. We could attempt the edge of the forest, it had been a wonderful trip, I would probably look back on this journey. It was pretty exiting to see how big the difference is between the Danish and the African nature.
