The two weeks I just spent in South Africa, was unbelievable! Me and my travelling partner, [NAVN A], met the most amazing people along the way, and I cannot wait to tell you all about it!
We started the journey off by going to The Apartheid Museum. Here we saw exhibits of some pretty disturbing stuff, but it did not affect me as much as it affected [NAVN A]. [NAVN A] is black and his parents died during a protest for the ANC.
The next day we went to Cape Town, where we wandered around for about an hour, until we saw an advert for something called "Table Top Mountain cableway", and it looked very fun, so we decided to go there as well. The view from the top was uncanny, it was like we were the kings of the world.
A few days went by with nothing interesting to talk about, but then we figured that we wanted to visit The Pilanesberg Game Reserve. We searched online to figure out how we should buy a trip there. After an hour or two, we were on our way to the reserve. Our guide’s name was called Akabi. Akabi was a very nice man, probably in his 30's, and a well-rounded and always happy guy. Akabi told us that we would be able to have around 5 hours in the park, and not more. The reason behind this, was that it was very dangerous at night, due to some of the animals being able to get a jump on us in the dark. Whilst admiring the lions, we witnessed something that will never happen to me again. Right in front of us, only about 50 metres away, a lioness gave birth to the cutest lion cub I have ever seen. That was an experience I will always have and cherish.
