Terrorangrebet 11. september 2001

There were many events that shook the world, one of them was 9-11 2001….

9-11 was a catastrophe that happened in Lower Manhattan, New York, Pennsylvania and the pentagon building on the 11th of September 2001. The world trade center consist of 7 buildings, the two famous buildings is The “Twin Towers” who consist of 110 levels. It was built in 1966-1973 and had a height of 415 meter and 417 meter. It was on that day that the “Twin Towers” crashed down. It was terrorists who hijacked two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines 175, and crashed them directly into the “Twin Towers”. The Towers crashed in less than 2 hours. The third plane was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon building. The Pentagon building is a government building in the USA. The fourth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. The terrorist tried to take control over the plane but couldn’t, because the passengers would not let them. During the Hijacking the terrorist used weapons to take over the planes. Some passengers could use telephone calls through the Airphoneservice and their own phones. That gave information’s about how many terrorist there was on board on the different planes. Nearly 3000 people died in the attacks.
