Youth anxiety is a big issue today. Many young people suffer from anxiety, especially girls. But of course, also boys, but girls are better at talking about their anxiety. Where boys mostly just hide it way from people around them and doesn’t want any help from society. Anxiety is a negative emotion with the thought of something unwanted or uncomfortable that is hard to describe and explain. It can example be nervousness and restlessness. All this combined and it’s still hard to describe what anxiety is.

There is different kind of anxiety. There is phobia, obsessive anxiety and anxiety disorder. Struggle, anxiety and depression, these are also three kinds. They talk about in the video clip, that social media has a big effect on young people. Social media is the biggest fault, that many young people have struggles, depression and worst of all anxiety. Young people show the perfect side of their lives on Instagram but doesn’t show the bad side of their lives. It’s like the duck syndrome, it’s where a duck glides effortlessly across the water, while underwater is feet work frantically to stay afloat. When young people don’t show the bad sides of their life, they hide it away and have these struggles on their own. There is a lot of perfect Instagram’s, where the setting is fake, because they hide away the bad stuff. Then young people thinks that everything in their lives must be perfect and that’s when they get anxiety. They don’t talk with society about their struggles which led to anxiety. All young people have struggles, but we all want to hide it away and we can’t fight with them alone, no one can.
