I probably wrote this letter years from the day you unroll the paper, and read these words, however I would like to tell you about myself and someone that means the world to me.
You see, when I was younger I found a bottle on the beach, just like you found mine. It didn’t say much, but when I look back and remember it over again, it was something I wouldn’t forget. Like I wrote before, my name is Samantha, I’m only days from dying. I got a disease, and nothing helps. I’ve tried everything.
I can’t go back, I just can’t.
That’s why I wrote the letter.
Will you help me?
I need my daughter to know how much I loved her. Maria is her name. I need you to give her the medallion at the bottom of the bottle.
Ryan took the little thing out of the bottle and cleaned it all over. He looked at it, the medallion was beautiful, it looked like something discontinued, something that wasn’t made anymore. He put it in his pocket and kept on reading.
The medallion, is for Maria. I wasn’t always there for her. I didn’t show up when she needed me. I am not perfect, but I’m not a bad mother. It was my mothers medallion, Maria always admired it, she used to play with it, and wished to own and wear it one day. I promised it to her. Maybe she didn’t know, that she was all that I cared about. That I did those dumb things, made me sick.
