Ryan was running down the beach one evening when he saw a bottle stuck in the sand. He sat down on the beach and pulled the cork out. After a while he finally got the paper out of the bottle, and unrolling the paper, he read:
“To the person who finds this bottle: I’m glad that you have found my message…”
To start off, my name is Samantha Geller Johansson. We have been kidnapped, by pirates, out of the Somalian coast. My husband, Thomas, I and our boat crew, including, a chef and a bodyguard, were ambushed by pirates when my husband and I were asleep. They have already shot our bodyguard as they were hijacking the boat and now they have kept us and the chef as hostage for 24 hours. We have not gotten any food or water, nor any sleep at all. They are demanding a ransom, of 100.000 US dollars as exchange of our lives and they say they are killing the chef, if we do not get the ransom in 48 hours. We have the money needed, but we do not have any access to the mainland at all. Because the pirates wrecked the communication device on our boat as they slammed their small ship straight into our boat. We have been trying the last 8 hours to explain them we cannot reach the mainland, but they do not understand us. They only speak enough English to tell us about the ransom. They are only getting more and more frustrated at us, thinking that it is because we do not want to give them the needed money. The situation is only getting aggravated. The pirates keep our chef and us in separate places, us in our bedroom and the chef up on deck. Because of the misunderstanding, with the communication problem, it sounds like the pirates are interrogating our chef. We can only hear him scream uncontrollably in pain once in a while. Only god knows what they do to him. He cannot take it much more and it does not sound like they are going to stop any time soon.
