Immigration has always been widely discussed issue in USA. USA is a country build on immigration, and since the birth of the nation people have immigrated to USA.
As written in the introduction, USA is a country build by immigrants, and that’s not a big deal. The big deal is all the illegal immigrants who cross the border non-stop. Most of them are from South America, and mainly Mexico. USA and Mexico is split by a heavily guarded border and an electrical fence. It’s a big risk crossing the border. To cross the border you need help, and that help is expensive, especially for a poor Mexican family. They pay a human trafficker for getting them across the border, and if they successfully cross the border, then it is up to them selves to make a living. Since they’re illegal immigrants and often poorly educated, they are forced to work at a very low wage. It’s not possible for them to complain, because if they complain, the government will discover that they are illegal immigrants and deport them out of the country, back to their home country without anything.
Looking through the eyes of unemployed Americans, you see another big problem. The illegal immigrants take jobs from the unemployed Americans. They don’t take the big wage jobs, but they take the low wage job that doesn’t require any education. Jobs that any unemployed American is qualified to do. That is a problem in two ways. First off, the illegal immigrants doesn’t pay any taxes, because they aren’t registered as American citizens. If you look from an objective point of view at the problem, it’s obvious that it doesn’t help the bad American economy in any ways. But if you look at the problem from the employers’ point of view, they might not have the money to pay American workers, and therefore have to use illegal immigrants to keep their business alive. As I wrote earlier it’s a two way problem. The second problem about the illegal immigrants is a moral problem. It’s morally wrong that the employers’ keep hiring illegal immigrants to keep their costs low. It’s morally wrong because it keeps the Americans unemployed. The same Americans who have been paying taxes for years, and helping make the country what it is today.
