Emily og den magiske dør

Emily is 13 years old and living in an orphanage, because her mother and father were in a car accident about 6 years ago. They were on their way home from a party when they crashed. Emily was only 7 years so she was not invited to the party. It was fortunate for her because otherwise she had perhaps been dead now. Emily did not have some family who could care for her, so she was sent to an orphanage called Sunflower. Now she has lived on Sunflower in 6 years and in almost all the years she has been doing well, but that changed around 1 year ago, when there was a new teacher. She seemed very sweet at first, but Emily found out she was evil. She made her do all sorts of disgusting things, like cleaning the toilet or not get any dinner if she had done a thing wrong. She never did, because the other teachers were always really sweet, but she was just evil. Everyone at the orphanage called her "the witch". No one liked her. But she was meanest against Emily, nobody knew why. But one day Emily got enough and decided to run away, so she packed the things she had. When everyone had gone to sleep, she ran to a window to jump out of it. When she landed down there she felt something cold, it was some grass she had landed on. Now she rose and began running, she ran and ran for a long time until she reached a great forest with a lot of trees and bushes; she just ran in there and hoped to find a place to sleep. But after a few hours, she had still not found a place to sleep, so she decided just to lie down at a large tree. When she found a good tree, she lay down to sleep. But when she looked up at the tree, she could see something strange on the tree. It was as if there was a door in the tree. Emily was curious and decides to try to open it. She got the door up and out from the opening came a lot of light and white smoke, she went in there to see if there was anything in there. Inside, on the other side, there was quite bright with many white trees and a big blue lake. It was like being in another world, a good world, where there was no evil leader. When she had walked around a little while, she suddenly saw a little ghost that flew over her head, the ghost was small, had black eyes, a little heart in the right side and a little halo over head. The ghost said he was called Bobbel and he was her little helper from now one, until she took off again. Emily was very surprised that there really was a living ghost right next to her, and that it could talk. She asked the ghost where she was and how she came back home, because the door she entered through was completely gone. The ghost did not really answer, but said something about 3 tests and that Emily should be aware that there was an evil person in here, who would put her on 3 tests, because she had come into their country without having had been allowed. But Emily did not really listen, she was busy walking around looking at all the strange creatures that flew, and went all over the place. There was both small and large animals, some were blue others were red. There were many different kinds of creatures. After some days where Emily had just relaxed and had gotten used to being there, there suddenly was something very strange, the sky suddenly became completely black and it began to lighten and rain, it had not done this, all this time Emily had been in the strange country. But now it happened, all those who had been here fled into their caves and trees, or what they lived in, but Emily did not know where she should go, because she had not tried anything like that before. But her ghost knew what to do, but still he looked scared. She asked what was wrong and he said it was the day it was going to happen. It was the 3 tests he was talking about. But Emily did not know what he was talking about, because she had not listened when he told it. She just had to wait and see what would happen. What happened, she was not exactly clear on. The dark queen came up from the dark sky, she walked on a kind of rainbow, it was not a nice variety of colors, it was completely black. She was coming down. She was wearing a plain, black, long dress, and on her shoulders sat two living vultures. They just sat there and looked around. They looked like they were starving and they just sat and waited for human flesh. As the darkness queen came down from the rainbow, she went up close to Emily and just stood and looked into her eyes. She had completely black eyes, and they looked very evil, then she suddenly spoke after some time “Hey little girl, listen, I have been watching you for a few days, and you do not just come into our country without having had permission and you do not have permission. When little girls like you do that, they have to be punished and your punishment must be 3 tests you have to do, and if you do not deal with them, you are not allowed to come back to your real country and you must stay here in a small room I have in my big castle. You are never allowed to get out again and I'll just let you rot, but if you can do the 3 tests, you are allowed to go home without anything happening to you”. Emily just replied that she might as well just face the 3 tests so she could get home to her own country again. The first test she had to overcome, was that she had to climb a huge mountain to fetch a special plant which stood on the mountain top, she had to climb up and get the plant and climb all the way back down without losing it. Emily glanced quickly up the hill and looked quickly away again because it was huge and she could not again see the top of the mountain. After some time she had thought about whether or not she should do it she pulled herself together and began to climb, after an hour she was really tired and she wondered whether she should just let go and forget it all. But just when she was about to do it, her ghost came and helped her and reminded her of all the good things she would not experience if she let go, he also reminded her that there was not so much again. Eventually she decided to climb on and get the plant and get to the next test. After some time she was up, she got the plant, and began to climb back down. The whole trip down went really well; she came down with only a few scratches. The Dark Queen came over to her, pulled the plant out of her hand and said that she should go on to the next test. The next test was that she would dive down to the bottom of the lake, because at the bottom there were some clams, which she had to dive to the bottom and get and also swim up again. Emily thought for a moment and then she remembered that she had never learned to swim, so how would she be able to dive all the way down to the bottom and up again without drowning. It took some time where there was quite but suddenly Emily started running and jumped into the water, she lay down in the water completely still, thinking how she could handle it, but she could just as well try, but she could feel that she could not breathe and she tried to swim up again but failed. So there were suddenly all black in front of her, when she awoke she lay on top of grass and thought that she had not done the job but when she looked in her hand was there 3 clams and it was just the 3 that she had get. She tried to think back of what had happened down in the water and suddenly she remembered that there was one with a big red tail, and long blond hair who had helped her in the water. It might have been a mermaid, she had to thank her at some point but right now she walked over to the dark queen to deliver the clams and to find out what the next test was. When she came over to give the clams, the queen was very surprised; she had not believed that Emily would make the test. The third test was for Emily to go into a big scary forest to pick two mushrooms and a living killer slug. Emily quietly began to go into the forest, the farther she got, the darker it became. When she had come far, she could hardly see anything so she was forced to feel the ground to find the things she needed. The mushrooms were easy to find, she found them almost immediately, but it was killer slug which was very difficult to find. She looked for hours, she was just about to give up when her little ghost came and helped, he flew right by the earth to shine for her. After about 10 min. She finally found it. She putted it in a bucket she had gotten from the Queen. She put it in with the mushrooms. When she came back, the queen was very angry. She had not believed that Emily had done all 3 tests. But Emily was just glad that she could come home to her real world again. The Queen would use all the things she had found to make a potion that would make her grow stronger. The Queen went to where the door was before, took her wand and made up the door again. Emily was glad; she never thought she would come back, men she did. She said thanks and goodbye to all her friends and she went through the door and out to the real world. When she came out it all looked like itself, it was dark, cold and it rained. She had acyually missed it a little bit. She had just forgotten that she had no mother or father, and she had escaped from the orphanage. Now she did not know what she should do, but she did not mind. Then all of a sudden, she could hear some dogs barking. The sound came closer and suddenly there came some police dogs and policemen out of some bushes, they came running towards her and said they had searched for her for several days and they could not find her, they took her to the police station, and a few days later she was back at the orphanage the Sunflower. There was nothing that had changed. The witch was still there. But one day something amazing happened, there were some parents who looked very cute, they had to choose a child and it was Emily who was selected. She came home with them and lived; they lived in a beautiful big house with 2 floors. Emily got her own room with a nice big bed and a lot of teddy bears, her new mom and dad were the sweetest parents. Just after her real mother and father, them no one could match. But they were really sweet and Emily also had a younger sister who was called Katy, and a cute dog, she had to choose at the shop and choose its name. It was called Bobbel, like her little help ghost, she had in the magical world.
