There have been so many phenomenal artists through the history, and my purpose with this project is to dig deeper into some of the revolutionary art, that has had a huge influence on the modern society. People in 2012 are still making new paintings, but I don’t think anyone has achieved to wow us yet as the “old” paintings did. I don’t believe that anyone has the ability to duplicate some of the masterpieces that had been painted through the history, but maybe in hundred years people will be looking back at 2012 and admire the art.
Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo Da Vinci has impressed and influenced the modern society indescribably much. He is known as an incredible, multitalented genius and was good at so many different things. Besides being an amazing scientist and engineer he was also a breathtaking painter. Da Vinci has painted many paintings, which still wow’s people after hundreds of years. We are still so inspired by his paintings and thousands of people go to the museum every day to experience his work.
The most famous painting in the world is considered the Mona Lisa and is actually painted by Da Vinci. It’s now placed in the Louvre museum in Paris, where it’s guarded by two guards, but what is it, that makes it so special? There has always been a little, unsolved mystery behind the Mona Lisa. Both her smile and the history behind the painting has been an interesting subject between scientists. What are the feelings behind her either shy or fake smile? There has been much speculation regarding her smile, and we can never really know for sure, but there can always be theories about it.
