Jeffrey Scott Buckley Jeff Buckley was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his amazing voice and as one of the most remarkable musical artists of his generation.
Buckley was born the 17th of november 1966 in California.
Buckley was raised by his mother and stepfather, and only met his father once he was 8. His father died of a drug overdose in 1975.
Buckley was growing up with a lot of music around him. His mother was a classic pianist and his stepdad introduced him at an young age to Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who and Pink Floyd.
There was a lot of singing in this family and Buckley started playing with an old guitar when he was only 6 years old.
After graduating from a one-year course at the Musicians Institute at the age of 18, he spent the next 6 years working in a hotel and playing guitar in different bands with different musicstyles, and he played all the genres very good.
He also mastered many different intruments besides the guitar.
In September 1990 he recorded his first demo tape, and he began performing at clubs and cafés. He performed solo accompanying himself on a borrowed guitar. Through the the 90s, he got admiring crowds and attention from record companies, and in 1993 his first commercial recording, “Live at Sin-é”, was released.
