Analyse af 'White Whales' af Jeff Stare

White Whales is a fiction book, which is written by the author Jeff Starre. The book is written in year 1991. In the beginning we hear about a man called Jim Stone. Jim Stone is a man flying a spaceship, his living is to take rich and powerful people to beautiful and undiscovered planets, with lots of animal life. In the book, he’s taking a rich and powerful family, Coral. The father Charlie Coral, his wife May Coral, and their daughter Berlina Coral. He’s taking them to the beautiful planet ‘’Aqua Nova’’. Jim Stone gets a crush on Berlina, which turns out to lead into big problems, because Berlina’s dad Charlie, want her to marry a guy, that is rich and powerful like himself. Nonetheless they stay on the planet for a few days, Charlie is hunting. May is taking pictures and recording videos, and Berlina is just chilling around. Then Charlie says to Jim, that he saw a big white creature in the sea, Charlie is really desperate to kill it, so that he can become more famous. He really wants Jim to help him kill the creature, but Jim doesn’t want to help, but Charlie gets him convinced in the end, so they kill it with the laser cannon on Jim’s ship. Then the sea turns red, and the whale is dead. Then they discover the whale, and find some slimy stuff, which is whale-oil.
