They dug and dug. And then suddenly they began to see something. Was it another Roman coin? No, it was too big, so it couldn’t be a Roman coin. They began to dig even more. After a bit, they could see that it was a big, gold chest. They cleared it from sand and dirt, and then took it up of the hole. It was locked. So Thomas said, that maybe there was a key somewhere. They started to dig the hole bigger. They found some more Romans coins. But not a key. It began to be dark, so they walked home. The next day, Thomas and Billy met at the same place again. So they started digging again. It was hard to find the key, because it could be a little tiny key, and it could be hid anywhere. Suddenly, Billy noticed something in the dirt, which looked like a key. He grabbed it, and tried it. It was the wrong key. They dug under the wall, and then they could see something that looked like another wall. It sounded crazy. A wall under another wall. The wall looked pretty old. They dug as much as they could, so they could see the whole wall. It actually looked like a Roman wall. Maybe it was one of the walls of the old Roman ford? But after a few minutes, they started to dig again, because they wanted to find the key. They dug deeper and deeper, and then suddenly they saw a door. The whole was so big now, that they could open the door. But it was locked. Billy tried to open it with the key he found earlier. It worked. He took the key again, and then they opened the door. Inside the door was a big room. There were a lot of Roman coins, helmets, swords and stuff like that. They moved into the room, and started looking around. Thomas found a little box, made of gold. He opened it, and inside there was another key. They ran out of the room, and up of the hole, to see if the key did fit. It did. Once Billy turned the key around, the big Roman door closed. The two guys looked down the hole. The door was closed. They tried to open it again, but it was locked. They walked up to the chest again, and opened it. In the chest there were a big diamond. They took it and walked home. They couldn’t wait to go to school again and show the others what they have found.
