· Mystery shopping is a so called "normal" customer. But yet the person shops for different reasons, then you or I does. This person is called a "Mystery shopper". And a mystery shopper is a person who gets paid to go into for an exampel a supermarket and do the groceries. Why do some companys use these so called Mystery shoppers? Feedback. By sending in an "undercover" customer, the person can make a review of the company and tell the board about the service from the employes, the standard of the groceries and so on. An excellent way for a boss to find his companys good sides and less good sides. Secret shopper The most common venue to be mystery shopped is cinemas,restaurants,banks,fast food chains. The way that a mystery shopper is paid can variete from time to time. Either the shopper can be paid in advantage for an example, if the person is going to a restaurant, or the shopper can be paid when he returns to the board with the results from the shopping.
