Mor by Michael Kvium:There is a woman and a man in the kitchen, surrounded by a lot of dishes. The woman is wearing an apron, with a nice black dress underneath. Her head is very small compared to her body. The man is wearing a white shirt, with a red tie. He looks very big and horny. And when he looks so big, it makes the woman look sad and small. There is a big difference between these two people. The man is in control, he makes the decision in this house. It seems to me that he is touching her without her permission. Maybe he does not care whether she wants to have sex or not. Maybe her head is that small, because the artist wanted to point out that it is not her personality the man wants. Her mind and thought does not matter to him. She is only a woman. I do not see any identification of time in the picture. This situation could have happened thirty years ago, and it could happen today. The kitchen is small and very simple. There are no pictures on the walls, and the floor is the “original” kitchen floor. The floor may indicate that it is an old house, but the persons could be living now. It could be a young couple living in an old house, which they can not afford to renovate. The first thing I noticed was the man’s face and hands. In fact his whole body, because he is so much bigger than the woman. His hands touching her breast is a private thing, and it indicates sex. He wants to have sex with her, while she is doing the dishes. He wants it, and does not care that she is busy. Because he is the husband and she must please him.
