The American Dream started as a dream for the hard struggling workers in America, who wanted their lives to be better, richer and full of happiness. Not just for themselves, but for everyone. Through the time the meaning of the American Dream changed a lot.
The American Dream concept started for many centuries ago. Some earned a lot of money and some went from poor foreigner to poor American. In America there is so much inequality when it comes to rich versus poor. That is why America is the only land where it’s possible to have an “American Dream” concept.
As an Africa-American, you live in two different Americans. In the ghetto, their laws are different, their language is different. You’ve never felt as an American, you just only felt as an Africa-American. I think as an American, you have supposed to have a life, liberty, prosperity and happiness. I believe that, for most Americans, the American Dream consists of a nice house, a VCR, lox fixed mortgage rates and a new car. A dream, for young people, is to get a good education and a good job and a good life. Many young people would like to have a good education. No immigrants have a chance to get a good education in America. The immigrants are coming to America without any money. And how do they earn moneys, if they cannot get a job. The immigrant’s children are not good in the school, so they cannot get a job and earn money to the family. Sometimes, if they no money have, they do criminal and steeling to get money.
