Undercover marketing, also called stealth marketing, are a way to sell an idea or product to the consumer without be recognized as a dealer, company or anything else that can relate to the product.
What is undercover marketing?
Undercover marketing is for the mostly taking place in the United States, because the American culture is build on the idea that you have the best house, car, family insurance and of course the advanced and modern products, and luxuries stuff. The dealers are hired business agents for the company’s, whom job and objective is to promote products and brands to the consumers. Consumers mostly don’t know that they are being lured to buy a product, because the product can be so interesting that they totally forget about why a random person is seeking them the product.
Stealth marketing against the lower age groups
One of the company’s target groups is small aged group, like children, and the teenaged group. And how does the product of the company reach the small children, in a stealth way, without a massive public advertising of the product? At first they are looking for some girls or boys among the children’s. The demands for these girls and boys they want to hire as agents should, be those among the children’s who are mostly popular and who everyone is looking up to. This is an advantage for the company to hire the most popular children’s, because they are the one who gets most attention, so when they assign a boy or a girl with a task, that can be a new hardware for Xbox or a new model of some pants they have to take use of, and show these products to their friends, so that the friends will be attracted to buy it. In modern day childhood no one wants to be an outsider, so they follow and buy the same stuff as the popular person, so they can remain inside the social ring and feel safe about themselves. That’s why the most of the company’s target group is the younger age group.
